ANTICIPATED VACANCY:
POSITION: Head Custodian
HOURS: Daily between 6:00A.M. – 2:30P.M.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Head Custodian / Head of Buildings & Grounds is responsible for overseeing the custodial, maintenance, and operational needs of district facilities and grounds. This position supervises staff, ensures buildings are safe and well-maintained, and coordinates all cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities. The role requires independent judgment, strong leadership, and working knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
DUTIES: Supervise custodial and maintenance staff; ensure buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained; perform and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs; monitor building systems and complete required inspections; manage supplies and coordinate outside contractors; assist with snow removal, setups, and general upkeep; perform other related duties as assigned.
WAGES: As per contract – depending upon experience

insurance, paid time off, NYS retirement plan, paid holidays per contract.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Keene Central School District is seeking a caring and dedicated Special Education Teacher who is committed to supporting students and helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a small, close-knit school community.
UNION AFFILIATION:
This position is covered by the Teachers’ Association contract and as such, this employee may join this union.
DUTIES: Provide individualized and small-group instruction; develop and implement IEPs; monitor student progress and maintain required documentation; collaborate with colleagues, families, and service providers; foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
