About Us
Nestled along the Au Sable River in the heart of the Adirondack High Peaks, Keene Central School serves students in grades K through 12 in a unique, all-in-one setting. Our small size allows us to truly know our students and create a learning environment where each individual is seen, supported, and valued.
At Keene Central, our size is one of our greatest strengths. It allows us to provide personalized learning experiences, maintain small class sizes, and foster meaningful connections between students, staff, and families. Our educators work collaboratively to ensure that each student is supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Our work is grounded in a shared vision to develop resilient, confident learners who are prepared to thrive in a diverse and ever-changing world. Through strong academic programs, real-world learning opportunities, and a focus on the whole child, we strive to support growth not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.
Learning at Keene Central extends beyond the classroom. Our location and strong partnerships create opportunities for students to engage with their community, explore the outdoors, and connect their learning to the world around them. These experiences help students build a sense of responsibility, belonging, and purpose.
As both a school and a community hub, Keene Central reflects the spirit of the Adirondacks, resilient, connected, and rooted in place. We are proud of our traditions, committed to innovation, and focused on preparing our students for whatever path they choose next.
