All students at KCS participate in the required NY State examinations. For anticipated scheduled dates of upcoming examinations for middle/high school and elementary grade levels please refer to the links below.
Please note that these schedules that have been known to change. Please use this reference as a general timeframe and always follow the information from your child’s teacher and information sent home from KCS regarding testing dates.
Many students in their junior and senior years elect to take Advanced Placement exams. For a tentative schedule of examinations for the courses that are offered through KCS, please visit the AP College Board testing schedule site.
Please contact Mrs. Johnson in the Counseling office with any questions. Your teacher or Mrs. Johnson will contact you regarding the registration process closer to the testing dates.
Junior and seniors have several opportunities to take the SAT/ACT college entrance exams. Students are encouraged to take the exams at the end of an academic year (in May or June). Many students will re-take exams in the fall of their senior year to try for improved scores. Visit the following links for exam schedules. Please see Mrs. Johnson ask questions about the registration process, especially if you receive testing accommodations or believe you qualify for a fee waiver. Juniors generally register for these exams during the Junior Seminar course.
Midterms & Final Exams
For grades 7-12 midterm exams are typically given in January each year and final exams are given in June. Actual schedules will be developed a few weeks prior and sent home to families and uploaded to this page.
