I have been teaching art at KCS since 2002. I earned a BA in Studio Art with minors in Psychology and Education from SUNY Potsdam and a MS in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from SUNY Albany. I also have post-graduate certificates in Art and World Histories.
I love Keene Central School for the feeling of family we have here. The communities we serve are very supportive of the arts, and I think I have the best art teacher job in New York State.
In my free time I'm an enthusiastic artist myself, especially fond of ceramics and watercolor. I show my work regionally in a variety of shows, galleries, and retail establishments.
I was honored as the New York State Art Teacher's Association Region 5 Teacher of the Year for 2011. I am on the Board of the High Peaks Artist's, College Coordinator for NYSATA Region 5, past President of the KCS Teacher's Association, current Vice President KCSTA.
