I grew up in Queensbury, NY and graduated with fellow KCS teacher, Darrin Seeley.
I attended Paul Smith's and Johnson State Colleges and earned degrees in Restaurant Management and Hospitality. My first work experience was managing a Ski Dorm in Stowe, Vermont. The lodge hosted High School groups from all over the Northeast. My next endeavor was as co-owner/operator of the St. Regis Restaurant in Paul Smiths. The five years my family spent in the restaurant business taught me more than any other experience I have encountered. Despite an honest effort and no regrets, the business closed after 5 years of operation. My next venture was as a Real Estate Agent and Broker (I needed to sell that restaurant!) and this career offered me the time and flexibility to return to school and earn a degree and teaching certificate. Previous teaching experiences include the ACAP Head Start Program and 4 years at the Willsboro Central School District. My position as a Family and Consumer Science/Business/Health/Computer teacher at Keene Central School has combined all of my past experiences into one enjoyable and rewarding position.
Personal hobbies include; knitting, camping, hiking and kayaking. I reside in Lake Placid with my husband, 15-year old daughter, 9 year old spaniel mix and 4 year old leopard gecko.
