Financial Aid & Scholarship Opportunities

Much of the college application, resume building, job shadowing, and scholarship application process, will be completed during Senior Seminar.

Financial Aid

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the key that unlocks the door to all kinds of financial aid programs. The FAFSA must be completed by the student and parents (after January 1 of the senior year) to apply for nearly all types of federal, state, or college-sponsored financial aid including grants, some scholarships, loans, and work programs.

A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is needed in order to submit a FAFSA application. Information on securing a PIN and filing a FAFSA can be on the FAFSA worksheet and is available in the Counseling office by early December. Visit FAFSA for more information.

Scholarship Opportunities

There are many local scholarship opportunities available for KCS students. During the Senior Seminar course, students will receive a list of local scholarships, criteria for consideration and application instructions. Search the following websites for additional scholarship opportunities:
